Lindsey Ballard is a photographer who's views of Cleveland highlight the very best of our city. Her multiple exposure imaging adds a fresh element to these timeless locations. The use of lighting and color helps to enhace the emotional response to each subject. Lindsey says "my photographs are a window into how I view the world around me." Check out more of her work below.
Katie Davis creates whimsical, mixed media paintings that draw inspiration from her personal experiences with motherhood. She uses home textiles, yarn, paper, and paint to create intricate, textural work that hovers on the line of complete abstraction and representation.
Anita Dawson is a painter from Columbus, Ohio. Dawson's still life paintings embody both beauty and mystery to create dramatic narratives. She says, "I seek to present the feeling of “what is now” in a representational style of painting. As poetry must be written in understandable language, painting in this time of upheaval can speak to us in comprehensible forms without pretention." See more of her work below.
Chuck Fischer creates textured abstractions that push the boundaries of rectilinear art practice. The maze-like constructions are built with layers of various materials and colors. Fischer explains his use of "the perfect geometric shape with imperfect, abstracted elements to create works of truth and harmony." See his work at the gallery below.
Stacy Leeman paints abstract works, treating the making process as a means of answering a question or solving a problem in her own visual language. Her work is a style she calls gestural symbolism, which utilizes mark making and juxtaposing incongruous colors to create unified and absorbing images.
Northeast Ohio native Linda Mayer creates encaustic landscapes that explore the earth, sea, and sky. Mayer's paintings possess meditative qualities and serve as an oasis to both viewers and herself. See more of her work at the gallery below.
Brian Pierce creates urban landscapes that capture the beauty of Cleveland through the eyes of a local. Using a technique he calls fragmentation, Pierce paints industrial city scenes with fragments of colors and shapes, bringing beauty to often overlooked places. See more of his work below.
Mary Ann Sedivy is a Northeast Ohio artist draws inspiration from the beauty of nature and her love of the outdoors. Her beautiful abstract landscapes explore color and texture, elements with which she "investigates the bridge between the natural world and the painted surface."
