Artist Statement

My work is deeply rooted in the blue-collar culture that surrounds me, reflecting the rhythms and resilience of everyday life. Through still life and portraiture, I examine the ordinary materials and objects that shape our identities and environments.

Using paint, I study the tactile qualities of the things that bear the marks of labor, time, and personal history. Their worn surfaces and subtle transformations become visual records of endurance and change. In recreating these details, I aim to capture both the physical and emotional weight of the familiar, allowing each piece to speak to memory, belonging, and the quiet beauty of work-worn things.
