Mary Ann Sedivy

Artist Mary Ann Sedivy’s passion is painting the landscape in both the plein air fashion and through abstraction. Mary Ann has her degree in Fine Arts and Art Education from Hiram College. Formerly an art educator at Notre Dame Cathedral Latin High School,  she served as department chair and taught beginning, intermediate and advanced art courses.

 

Mary Ann’s painting career has spanned 40 years during which she has exhibited in Ohio in numerous juried exhibitions and has had several solo shows. Currently, her work is represented at The Hayley Gallery in New Albany, Ohio. In conjunction with the Ohio Arts Council she has had two works on display in Governor Kasich’s offices in Columbus, Ohio. She has work in MetroHealth Hospital's collection and her paintings are featured in The Artist's Magazine's Acrylic Works 10: The Best of Acrylic, September 2023 edition and The Artist's Magazine's Acrylic Works 11: The Best of Acrylic, September 2024 edition. Additionally, Mary Ann’s work is also in private collections; most notably in that of television personality Patricia Heaton’s of Everybody Loves Raymond and The Middle, YouTube Host Coyote Peterson and of local singer-songwriter Alex Bevan.
