Born and raised in Northwest Alabama, and currently based in Cleveland, OH, Lane Cooper is an artist, curator, and writer. She has exhibited widely and this past March her work appeared in River House Arts’ curatorial project “Cake,” at the Spring/Break Art Show, NYC. She has written essays and reviews for a variety of platforms including Sculpture Magazine. Her curatorial projects have appeared regionally in venues such as the Cleveland State University Galleries, the Sculpture Center, and Waterloo Arts. She is an Associate Professor of Painting at the Cleveland Institute of Art having taught there since 2001.
