Christopher Burk is a visual artist known for his documentation of mundane environments that are found in countless urban neighborhoods in both the Midwestern, and Northeastern parts of the United States.

 

Burk studied at the Columbus College of Art & Design, and the University of Akron with a focus on Painting. He has shown work with Robert Lange Studios, Charleston, SC, Prince Street Gallery, New York, NY, and Viridian Gallery, New York, NY. Currently, He shows with Brandt-Roberts Galleries, Columbus, OH, George Billis Gallery, New York, NY and Bonfoey Gallery, Cleveland, OH.

 

His work has earned him various awards, including most recently, an Individual Excellence Award from the Ohio Arts Council.

 

Presently, Burk works mostly in oil but is also known to work in gouache, graphite and ink.
